THE POSITION
Our Alberta EnviroFuels facility is seeking a Planning & Scheduling Lead to join the Maintenance team.

This exciting role will be responsible for planning and scheduling of maintenance activities, as well as successful coordination and execution of turnarounds and other outages as they occur at the facility.


RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Maintain strong working relationship and communication with Planner, Scheduler, Technicians, Operations, and Support Teams to ensure optimization of OE 4.03 Maintenance Work Processes Standard requirements.
  • Review OE 4.03 Maintenance Work Processes KPI's monthly and take corrective action on negative trends.
  • Monitor progress of scheduled work.
  • Participate in the daily Service Request reviews with Scheduler to ensure identified work is required, prioritized, and details are correct.
  • Maintain craft availability and ensure it is available to Scheduler for compiling the maintenance schedule.
  • Ensure materials and services provide optimal value and are in alignment with maintenance & reliability needs of the facility.
  • Perform routine job site visits to evaluate the work being completed by technicians is meeting Keyera's safety, quality, and standard requirements.
  • Follow Keyera Turnaround Delivery system and deliverables within.
  • Develop facility turnaround base plans for TA phases.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting, dashboards and KPI's are developed for Turnaround.
  • Coordinate the execution of small outage opportunities as they occur.
  • Ensure all project work meets the Turnaround milestone schedule for planning and is integrated into the maintenance work to ensure cost effective use of resources.
  • Facilitate critical job reviews, walk throughs, and risk assessments.
  • Work closely with Maintenance team and Cross functional groups to develop a strong Turnaround Team.
  • Provide Turnaround support at other facilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of previous experience in planning/scheduling, as well as managing and coordinating large industrial turnarounds.
  • Project management experience (scheduling, budgets, cost controls and workforce planning).
  • Previous experience with project management software in developing and managing large outage schedules.
  • Experience in industrial Operations and/or Maintenance.
  • Demonstrated organization skills that translate into planning.
  • Previous experience managing large contractor workforces on multiple shifts.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills focusing on stakeholder engagement and influencing others.
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Suite with emphasis in Microsoft Excel (ability to build reports, tables etc.).
  • Experience with CMMS (Maximo) and scheduling software is a strong asset.
  • Development and ownership of budgets and cost forecasting (earned value and productivity.
