    Salesforce Developer - Public Sector (Contract)

    Location: Toronto, ON. Hybrid (onsite 3 days/week)

    Duration: 1 year


    On behalf of our client, Public Sector Organization, Equality Street is seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Developer to join the client's dynamic team on a contract basis for 1-year assignment with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing day-to-day development activities on the platform using Apex and Visual Force, supporting the creation of customizations and integrations, configuring the application based on business requirements, and developing custom applications using Apex, VisualForce, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, and CSS. The candidate will apply best practices and experience to build applications, develop estimates for projects, and work closely with other developers, business analysts, QA analysts, and project managers. Additionally, the candidate will research capabilities, provide gap analysis, and create actionable technical documentation based on gathered business requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and customize solutions using Apex and Visualforce.
    • Configure applications according to business requirements.
    • Collaborate with team members to develop custom applications using Apex, VisualForce, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, and CSS.
    • Provide technical expertise and support for platform.
    • Research capabilities, provide gap analysis, and create technical documentation.
    • Assist with scoping and planning CRM projects and initiatives.
    • Maintain and develop SFDC Visualforce pages, Apex classes & triggers, and integrations.
    • Support routine administration functions for
    • Participate in cross-functional teams addressing strategic business issues.
    • Design technical solutions for data collection and storage.
    • Develop, test, and implement technical solutions ensuring data accuracy and quality.
    • Produce design artifacts and documentation for future support.
    • Provide subject matter expertise for report development and data transformation.
    • Support Covid-19 Vaccine Management Solution business model.
    • Improve data transformation and reporting processes.
    • Contribute to design/development project plans and estimates.
    • Maintain Development environments and Continuous Integration (CI) practices.
    • Ensure the availability of Covid-19 Vaccine Management tools for all users.


    Requirements

    Skills Required - Technical Skills:

    • 8+ years of full-cycle software development. 5+ years of Salesforce platform development experience with Lightning Experience.
    • Knowledge of Service Cloud/Sales/Health Cloud.
    • Heavy understanding of Object Model and Salesforce configurations.
    • Certified Salesforce Developer.
    • Deep understanding of Salesforce data sharing Model. Strong experience with Apex coding, Lightning components/Aura framework, JavaScript.
    • Inbound and Outbound integration with Salesforce platform, Knowledge of MuleSoft.
    • Expertise with Salesforce governor limits and large-scale data.
    • Utilization of Continuation integration using Jenkins, Copado, or equivalent tool.
    • Experience with GIT repository, Salesforce Data Loader, and Agile Methodology.
    • Experience integrating with other applications. Understanding of web services and other technologies for data transport.

    Core Skills and Experience:

    • 10+ years of experience with technical design, development, and project planning. Strong leadership skills and ability to identify areas for improvement.
    • Experience in maintaining development environments and Continuous Integration (CI) practice.
    • Ability to translate business requirements into application designs.
    • Knowledge of accessibility laws and standards.
    • Experience with Project Management Institute (PMI) standards. Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Development Methodology.
    • Continuous Integration (CI) practice and DevOps methodologies.

    OPS/Healthcare Experience:

    • Experience working with healthcare providers in the public sector.
    • Knowledge of provincial immunization system and OPS large complex IT Health projects.
    • Experience with integration of Clinical IT Systems.
    • Knowledge of OPS Enterprise Architecture and Standard Systems Development Methodologies.
