Scope:

They will be responsible for providing analysis, reports, and recommendations with respect to EFC's operational requirements.

Working in the Business Analysis unit, the Operations Business Analyst Intern will be comfortable working with Excel and analysing data to understand and solve business problems.

The Business Analysis unit is responsible for projects that require coordination across the industry with a focus on operational efficiency and change, including processor pricing, industry data, and database improvements.

Level of responsibility will be commensurate with experience.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Research and Analysis

  • Data collection and reconciliation
  • Perform macro
- and micro-analytical activities relevant to Canadian egg markets

  • Produce reports and presentations outlining the research and analysis of results
  • Provide insight and recommendations to management
  • Complete ad hoc analysis as assigned and outlined by the Manager
Execution and Maintenance of Existing Programs

  • Provide analysis, calculations and ongoing reports relevant to program management
  • Administrate the Processor Protocol, including: routine calculations, process improvement, process documentation, implementation of updates to the calculation method; weekly publishing, and maintenance of databases
  • Provide operational routine reports and document standard procedures
  • Contribute to continual process improvement

Qualifications/Skills:


  • Comfortable working with quantitative data sets, and an acceptable knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, if statements, VLOOKUP's)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, take initiative and be resultsoriented
  • Presentation skills will be considered an asset

Education and Experience:


  • A final year undergraduate or recent graduate with a degree in Economics, Business Logistics, or related discipline
