Join the Braefoot Community Association team as a part-time Out of School Care Leader and make a difference in the lives of children between the ages of 5 and 12 years.

We believe that the more positive activities our youth are involved in, the less time they are exposed to potentially negative influences.

We encourage and enable youth to participate in activities that promote positive and active lifestyles, which then contribute to healthy communities.


  • Can work within a team to manage children in group sizes of up to 2
  • Able to coordinate successfully with other team leaders and supervisors.
  • Maintains a friendly and outgoing disposition within a childfriendly environment.
  • An understanding of group facilitation.
  • A demonstrated ability to handle and maintain various program equipment and materials.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service ability.
  • Must submit to and pass a Criminal Record Check.
  • Must possess Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C qualifications.
As a part of this position, the Out of School Care Leader will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Leading and conducting activities and programs.
  • Communicating with other team leaders and supervisors to maintain program quality.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and condition of program equipment inventory and materials.
  • Receiving and handling correspondence and queries from parents and other external partners.
  • Ensuring safety and wellbeing of participants throughout programs and activities.
  • Completing other tasks as required by the childcare facility manager.

Job Types:
Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 10 months

Part-time hours: 15-25 per week


Salary:
$19.00 per hour
