Job Title: Sustaining Capital Projects Supervisor

The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with eight other operating mines in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Nicaragua.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sustaining Capital Projects Supervisor. Reporting to the Site Services and Project Manager, the Projects Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of civil and infrastructure construction projects. The role ensures work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves managing site activities, supervising teams, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

• Plan, schedule, and monitor civil works activities, including earthworks, roads, drainage, and utilities, as well as building infrastructure works that include mechanical and electrical components.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.

Site Supervision

• Conduct daily site inspections and enforce safety protocols.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and the workforce to maintain productivity and quality.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and environmental regulations.
• Implement quality control measures and resolve technical issues promptly.

Resource Management

• Manage allocation of labor, materials, and equipment.
• Track costs and report variances against budget.

Stakeholder Communication

• Liaise with engineers, contractors, inspectors, and clients.
• Prepare and present progress reports to management.

Required Experience & Skill Set

• Proven analytical skills and ability to quickly assess and resolve complex issues.
• Strong working knowledge and understanding of Project Management principles.
• SAP/Prometheus scheduling tool experience would be considered an asset.
• Experience and knowledge of time and risk management.
• Experience supervising within a mining operation or heavy industrial environment.

Certifications

• PMP, PMI-SP, or an equivalent certification is considered an asset.
• Supervisor training certification.

Education

• Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or Technology degree preferred; a relevant Red Seal trade qualification combined with skills and experience would also be considered.

The salary range for this position is from $149,618.00 to $182,866.11.
