Financial Controller - Saskatoon, Canada - Western Development Museum
Description
The Financial Controller is also responsible for analyzing financial data and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; completing regular and timely bank reconciliations including journal entries and supporting documentation; and, developing, implementing, and evaluating internal control systems as well as finance-related policies and procedures to ensure leading practice and effective financial operations across all WDM locations.
This position requires an accounting degree or a professional accounting designation (CPA) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a senior accounting role.
The incumbent must have a strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), excellent financial analysis skills and Excel skills, and be detail-oriented and highly organized.
The work schedule is 72 hours per 2-week pay period.The WDM providesa substantial benefits package with paid sick leave benefits as well as employer paid health and dental benefits.
WDM employees belong to the Public Employees Pension Plan with employee contributions being matched by the employer.Applications will be received until the position is filled.
Salary:
$65,390.00-$75,842.00 per year
