Job Overview

The Customer Care & Deficiency Coordinator is responsible for managing homeowner inquiries and coordinating subcontractors to address deficiencies in newly constructed condominium/apartment units. This role serves as the primary point of contact for homeowners during the post-possession warranty period and ensures timely resolution of service requests.

The ideal Customer Care & Deficiency Coordinator is friendly, highly responsive, and maintains accurate records to follow through on each task. This position will ensure that Horizons customers receive the best service possible.

Responsibilities

Serve as the main point of contact for homeowners regarding post-closing concerns and warranty-related issues

Receive, document, and track customer service requests and deficiencies

Assess and prioritize service requests in accordance with warranty guidelines

Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and trades to complete repairs

Monitor progress of repairs to ensure quality and timely completion

Conduct follow-up communication with homeowners to confirm satisfaction

Maintain accurate records of all communications, work orders, and resolutions

Coordinate access to occupied units with homeowners, property management, and trades

Identify recurring issues and report trends to management

Assist with pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and 30-day/1-year warranty reviews as required.

Additional related duties as assigned.

Experience in residential construction, condominium development, or property management preferred

Strong knowledge of construction trades and warranty processes preferred (e.g., Tarion or equivalent, if applicable)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software

Customer-focused with strong problem-solving skills

Working Conditions

This position is set on a construction site/office.

Overtime may be required during occupancy periods.

Working hours are generally from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

This position is subjected to high pressure due to customer concerns, and ensuring follow up is made on each file.

This is a temporary position that may lead to full time permanent employment.

Horizons Group is a residential and commercial real estate investment and development firm. Our team specializes in land development in Windsor-Essex County. We are currently constructing condominiums and apartments, with plans to develop commercial buildings later this year. The project our team is focused on currently is Laurier Horizons, located in LaSalle, Ontario. Our completed projects include Laurier Horizons Phase 1, Forest Glade Horizons and Banwell Court, a newly built apartment complex in East Windsor. Future developments will be located in LaSalle, Essex, and Windsor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
