In 2021, the business expanded its presence into the US, signing its first venue deals with properties in New York and California later that year.

For over 50 years, the Biltmore has been a fixture in the community as both a public house for Vancouverites and a platform for ground-breaking musical performances.

With the revitalization of historic Mount Pleasant, the bar was reopened in 2007 as The Biltmore Cabaret, with a fresh focus to recapture its musical tradition.

Drawing from the rich local scene in Vancouver as well as the best in Canadian and international touring acts, The Biltmore Cabaret showcases talent from across a wide spectrum of music and the arts.

Reporting directly to the Regional General Manager, the Cover Me Live Promoter will work closely with the Biltmore Cabaret team to promote and contribute to the success of Cover Me Live events by engaging with street level guests and talent within the venue.

The Role

Maintain an Indepth knowledge and clear understanding of Biltmore programming priorities (eg. Cover Me Live band schedule)
Liaise nightly with The Biltmore Operations Manager to ensure smooth operations
Drive ticket sales for the venue by interacting and engaging with preexisting and new guests on street level and within venue
Manage the Cover Me Live Ambassador Program
Prepare detailed and organic marketing materials for the venue
Act as a representative for the venue and host guests, clients and partners
Making on stage announcements to assist in curating and facilitating a positive shareable experience within the venue, during shows

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

A demonstrated knowledge of live music and the entertainment industry is considered an asset
Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing
Maintain a calm demeanor and work effectively during peak times
Able to work on the weekends and holidays, including late nights
Social Media Proficiency
Professional attitude, initiative and urgency
Marketing, Promotions and Sales experience preferred although not mandatory

Terms & Expectations:

Due to the nature of the work, after hours correspondence may be required
