About the Role

The Regional Client Engagement Marketing Manager will report directly to the Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications, Atlantic Region With the support of a team, you will oversee the client experience program, help identify business development opportunities, drive business development initiatives, provide insight and guidance to senior stakeholders, and provide coaching and guidance to junior marketing team members.


The Regional Client Engagement Marketing Manager will support business development, marketing, and client engagement activities in alignment with Grant Thornton's strategic goals.

As an integral part of the team, you will collaborate closely with Partners and Principals across Assurance, Taxation and Advisory services to initiate and drive new revenue-growth opportunities for the Firm.

You will strengthen and develop client relationships (internal/external), to improve client satisfaction, drive organic growth, and help maximize revenue and increase profitability.


As a Regional Client Engagement Marketing Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a marketing lead for partner business development strategy and enablement within the Atlantic region
  • Develop and execute middle to bottomoffunnel marketing and client engagement campaigns designed to nurture and move leads from consideration to close
  • Work with business unit leadership to research and identify strategic targets (prospects, clients and referral partners) and build accountbased marketing plans
  • Collaborate with the marketing team, proposal team and other business development professionals across the firm to leverage ideas, content and strategies for the Atlantic region
  • Act as a brand ambassador. Collaborate with the national marketing and communications team, Regional Senior Marketing Manager and Regional Marketing Managers to ensure brand integrity and consistency across all external and internal marketing collateral
  • Strategize and plan tailored events focused on business development with strategic targets
  • Report on leads generated through campaigns to stakeholders
  • Create and foster strong working relationships with stakeholders across all levels in the Atlantic business units
  • Identify and share win stories and successes through internal and external storytelling in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Some travel may be required (when appropriate)

Strategy, Vision, and Leadership

  • Challenge the status quo to evaluate the Firm's practices to create innovative solutions to enhance the client experience
  • Have a strong understanding of the privately held business sector through market research, news/key development alerts, business, and other sources of industry knowledge of Canadian Corporations
  • Advise and collaborate with Service Line Leaders to identify, establish, and execute strategies to maintain and grow existing client relationships
  • Collaborate with other client experience colleagues to leverage ideas and concepts and adapt as appropriate for use

Client Engagement

  • Assist in actioning client survey responses to ensure follow up with leads on opportunities
  • Create a client feedback loop to ensure priority areas are addressed on a timely basis
  • Facilitate client conversations to identify new opportunities (i.e., crossselling) through client connection meetings and other client interactions
  • Develop and contribute to client reporting for Managing Partner's and Management Committee through data analytics
  • Develop meaningful value propositions and best practices to enhance our clients' experience and share successes through persuasive storytelling

Business Development/Sales Enablement

  • Provide guidance and support to the Client Growth Partners and Partner/Principals with sales enablement strategies and initiatives
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize event strategies to drive lead generation activity
  • Enhance local market activity through strategic business development initiatives (i.e., CEO Roundtables)
  • Leverage client feedback and client services data to identify opportunities within our client base
