Job summary

The Payroll Assistant is responsible for supporting the accurate collection, verification and processing bi-weekly payroll. This role supports benefits administration for the TRCA.

This position requires a college diploma in Payroll, Business Administration , Accounting, or a related field and at least one year of experience in payroll and/or benefits-related roles. The ideal candidate will have strong mathematical skills, excellent communication abilities and basic computer proficiency in MS Office suite including online software such as MS teams, WebEx, and SharePoint.

  • Processes personnel transaction forms
  • Supports payroll system administration and quality assurance and control with a focus on accuracy
  • Supports data integrity in the payroll system by conducting regular report audits; takes action to identify
