Job Description:

We currently have an opening for an
IT Support Technician in our
Saskatoon office.

Your duty will be to support the Saskatchewan/Manitoba region staff in achieving their work goals, through the effective use of technology.

You will have a diligent client service approach, ensuring that staff feel supported in their IT needs, and that IT services are continually functional and available.

You will also operate as a remote extension of the Corporate IT group, monitoring and prioritizing activities through the ticketing system, and delivering exceptional service to laptop, desktop, smart phone, and software end-users across the company.

You will work closely with the company's other Canada-wide IT Support Technicians, both within and outside of SASK.

You will be responsible for managing accounts and passwords, set-up and configuration of desktop and laptop computers, maintaining IT inventory, and supporting all IT programming.

You will also provide reports to local and Corporate management regarding major IT issues, budgets, and inventory.


You are a strong communicator and maintain a positive client-focused attitude, interacting with all levels of local and company-wide end-users, both in person and through video conference.


This position will be based out of the Saskatoon office, with consistent travel to the 3 other SK-MB offices and Corporate office (Edmonton).


Job Requirements:


What you will bring to the table:

  • A diploma or undergraduate degree from an accredited post-secondary institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, System Management, or Information System Management
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role
  • Demonstrated experience in a serviceoriented environment
  • Advanced technical skills with the following programs: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint/Office 36
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting within Windows operating systems
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure; i.e., create/manage user accounts, respond to IT ticket system, manage inventory, and provide ontheground IT support on a recurring basis
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Desire to provide highlevel customer/client service
  • Experience supporting smart phones and printers/photocopiers
  • Organized; ability to maintain operational inventory
  • Curious and passionate; ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication skills, including report writing
  • Ability to manage budgets related to IT capital expenses
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Committed team player
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Available to travel within Western Canada, and work afterhours where necessary for emergency needs
