- available resources while ensuring equitable distribution of school based staff across the system to support the _
- needs of all students, in accordance with enrolment data (projected and actual, Collective Agreements, _
- Ministry requirements and grants. _
- The Manager will: _
- Manage the collection, calculation, analysis, adjustments and reporting of staff allocation data based on _
- Provide recommendations, guidance and advice to senior staff and the Staff Allocation Committee on _
- Identify and recommend strategies to address staff allocation issues; _
- in our resource allocation process; _
- Oversee the collection, compilation, verification and submission of TDSB Educator OnSIS reports _
- Responsible for completion of Ministry Reporting templates as per Ministry regulations and timelines; _
- Manage the coordination of class size data collection and reporting. _
Summary of Duties:
Manage the calculation, analysis, adjustments and reporting of staff allocation data based on projected and
actual enrolments;
schools;
Manage and review changes in staff allocation based on enrolment changes, and maintain accurate
records of staff disposition;
Manage and monitor staff allocation, adjustments and disposition including addressing adjustments in
relocations throughout the year;
Work closely with Executive Superintendent/Officer (Employee Services and Finance) and the Associate
Director to provide information to support the Board's decision-making regarding staff allocation;
Work with Senior Team to examine ways to increase the opportunity for staff to be appropriately allocated
through the Learning Centres with a focus on increasing equitable staff allocation;
Provide advice and guidance to resolve school-based allocation and organization problems and
adjustments to staff allocation;
Prepare/oversee the preparation of staff allocation reports for teaching and support staff for system review;
Prepare statistical information required to support specific directives and/or recommendations;
Co-ordinate and prepare reports and summaries for Staff Allocation Committee meetings;
Present information and updates to senior management and various committees (e.g., Finance, Budget
and Enrolment Committees and Board meeting); attend meetings and chair/participate on various working
group and committees;
Respond to requests for information and inquiries with respect to class size legislation changes, collective
agreement implementation, Ministry report requests from Senior Staff, Principals, Managers and external
organizations;
Responsible for all data management, integrity, staff training and development relating staffing information
databases and systems;
Manage staffing information databases and systems, recommend program design and improvements;
Supporting the Trillium Interface regarding educator data questions: e
g:
attendance verification, data
discrepancies with schools and SAP information;
Manage the verification and storage of class size data, as well as the transmission of class size data to the
Ministry;
Responsible for the management and direction of staff including, hiring, planning, staffing, training,
performance reviews;
Oversee the collection, compilation, verification and submission of TDSB Educator OnSIS reports to the
Ministry;
Liaise with Superintendents, Principals and departments regarding staff allocation requirements, allocation
formulae and adjustments;
Work closely with Planning Department regarding enrolment data and ministry reporting
Work closely with Business Services regarding system allocation requirements, system budgets, allocation
formulae, adjustments, preparation of reports;
Provide leadership in fostering equity and inclusiveness in the development and implementation of
programs and services; and
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
University degree in related field (e.g., Business Administration, Human Resources, Planning, or Data
Science and Analytics) with six years progressively responsible experience in data management and
analytics in a public sector environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
