Job Summary:


Responsibilities:

Compensation and Benefits

  • Develop strategic compensation plans in consultation with Partners & HR Principal
  • Align performance management systems with compensation structure (HRIS & Accounting)
  • Monitor negotiations for group health care benefits
  • Monitor Family and Medical Leave compliance
  • Adhere to confidentiality provisions for employee medical files
  • Monitor enrollment for employees' health care coverage
  • Update Employment Contracts on an Annual basis
Training and Development

  • Update orientation process for all new employees with the support of the HR Assistant
  • Develop training, resources and programs (ie., First Aid, WHMIS, Compliance)
  • Develop with the HR Principal and HR Assistant new initiatives within the department
  • Collaborate with Health and Safety Committee to ensure compliance issues are addressed in a timely manner
  • Professional Development (not related to Professional Designations continuous education requirements)
  • Skills training (staff performance)
  • Conduct periodic needs assessments to determine when training is necessary, and the type of training necessary to improve performance and productivity
  • Staff Performance Review and Strategy
  • Examine employee performance records to identify areas where employees could improve through job skills training or employee development (seminars, workshops, etc)
  • Implementation of employee development strategy and succession planning
  • News & Research to help guide policy development and implementation
Employee Relations

  • Maintain current employment laws, legislative and regulatory compliance
  • Investigate and resolve workplace issues/ employee complaints
  • Preserve employeremployee relationships through effective employee relations strategies
  • Build relationships and credibility with employees as their point of contact for any Human Resourcesrelated questions or concerns
  • Ensure overall wellbeing of employees
  • Ensure employees have a safe working environment, free from discrimination and harassment
  • Examine current workplace policies and provide training to employees and managers on policies
  • Ensure behavioral policy, health and safety policy, and performance polices are up to date and consistent with legislation
  • Manage staff changes within the benefit system portal with the support of the HR Assistant
  • Conduct terminations, including exit interviews for employees who leave the company voluntarily and involuntarily
Recruitment and Selection

  • Develop strategic solutions and participate in corporate decisionmaking to meet workforce demands and labor force trends in consultation with Partners and HR Principal
  • Work with marketing to promote the company as an employer of choice
  • Review compensation and benefit packages as related to qualified applicants/new hires and industry trends
  • Coordinate with accounting to ensure salary records are uptodate
  • Liaise and Coordinate with the HR Principal, HR Assistant, Accounting team and IT team for all onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Direct data entry of employee information into the Collage HRIS system
  • Manage records of employment contracts, training data, and service milestones
General

  • Create/update filing structure and maintain excellent record tracking
  • Prepare and develop standard letters, memos, presentations, etc. as needed
  • Collaborate and direct external HR specialists Kirkor may retain from time to time
  • Other HR responsibilities as required
