Being a Team Leader at National Bank means coaching the team of Commercial Account Managers in order to add value to the solutions offered to the various distribution channels of the Bank.


Your ability to accompany your team in the field, your business development skills, your influence, your leadership and your collaborative spirit will make you stand out.

This position reports to the Regional Vice President, Business Services and is based in Laval.


Your job:


  • Manage a team of Account Managers, creating a climate conducive to mobilization and the achievement of objectives
  • Follow the evolution of your employees and the development of their skills through personalized coaching
  • Aim to optimize the efficiency, productivity and profitability of the sector through the implementation of business growth strategies
  • Establish a strategy with your partners to maximize your impact in the market and improve the visibility of your sector
  • Participate in the development of the annual business plan for your market and manage its execution

More specifically, you will:


  • Mobilize the team to ensure a superior customer experience
  • Develop and maintain a lasting relationship with customers through various activities aimed at customer acquisition and retention
  • Act as an ambassador for the Bank in the local community and foster relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ensure a balance between risk management and profitability in business development
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of operational procedures
  • Be on the lookout for new developments in your market and ensure that the products and services offered meet the changing needs of the clientele and remain competitive
  • Be proactive in identifying new ways of doing things, promoting continuous improvement and the use of new tools
  • Support the RVP in the development of his business plan
  • Identify the risks inherent to the sector's activities
  • Manage a portfolio of senior accounts
  • Bachelor's degree related to the industry and 7 years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in personnel management (performance management, development, team motivation)
  • Solid experience in commercial credit and business development
  • Good knowledge of different banking systems
  • Good experience in coaching sales teams on the road
  • Good influence, leadership and priority management skills
  • Autonomy, organization and change management
  • Bilingualism (spoken/written) in French and English, as the sector serves a French and English speaking clientele
