Role Summary:


The Canadian Document Services Administrator role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced, innovative and dynamic team environment, providing support to Sun Life Business Units.


This role plays a key role in ensuring effective production and handling of incoming and outgoing mail and couriers and will be responsible to ensure service standards are met and strict quality targets are adhered to for a variety of tasks.


Main Accountabilities:


  • Opening, sorting, prepping, and distributing incoming mail, including digitally scanning of some documents
  • Receiving and distributing incoming courier using electronic tracking software
  • Sealing and stamping outgoing mail
  • Preparing outgoing courier shipments and creating digital waybills
  • Receiving and sorting daily internal system generated output
  • Perform production tasks such as sorting and collating of documents
  • Accountable for accuracy and quality throughout production process, ensuring clients receive proper documents
  • Accountable for understanding the endtoend processes for Canadian Document Services
  • Responsible for communicating change that could lead to positive process enhancements
  • Recognizing what needs to be done to meet customer and business needs
  • Updating digital databases and completing investigations for return mail
  • Entering key metrics into Excel spreadsheets
  • Creating and developing spreadsheets for tracking

Notes/Unique Requirements:


  • Ability to lift items weighing 50 to 75 lbs and be on their feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to handle fluctuating work volumes.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to work overtime with mínimal notice when volumes dictate.
  • Limited vacation during peak seasons.
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
