Trailer Technician
Full-time
Hartland, NB
As a Trailer Technician at Day & Ross, you will be responsible for repairing and inspecting trailers, and be a key member of our maintenance team.
Shift schedule modified weekend shift:
- Saturday & Sunday 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM,
- Two shifts during the week from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
How You'll Help:
- Conduct inspections of trailers. Document and record the inspection and findings, and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Diagnose, repair and maintain trailers, including suspension, tires trailer axle, lighting systems, rear walls and doors, trailer frame and support and trailer body. Recognize additional maintenance and repair that could be performed and escalate to the supervisor.
- Ensure the trailer bay and work area is clean and tidy, which includes regular cleanup, washing of vehicles and sweeping.
- Operate yard equipment when required.
- Other duties as required.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Commercial Trailer Technician (CTT) license considered an asset.
- Experience in truck and/or trailer repair and exposure working in a maintenance department.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain an open line of communication with the shift foreman/supervisor.
- Basic computer skills is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player and have a positive attitude.
