Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate the planning, operations, and execution of Elbow River Camp.
  • Support the First Nations Events Committee in mandate advancement.
  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of Elbow River Camp seasonal staff, including Interpretive Program, Bannock Booth, and Events and Parking areas.
  • Oversee accreditation process for Elbow River Camp stakeholders, recruit and train seasonal accreditation team.
  • Develop written material for promotion of Indigenous programming and Elbow River Camp.
  • Conduct budgeting, administration, reporting, and process documentation work.
  • Deliver exceptional service to internal teams related to each project including regular communication and reporting updates.
  • Foster positive culture of collaboration among Elbow River Camp stakeholders.
  • Special projects, program initiatives and administrative functions as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 35 year's experience in an administrative support or project coordination position.
  • Knowledge of Treaty 7 First Nations cultures and protocols is an asset.
  • Understanding of project management processes and procedures; strong problemsolving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in a relationshiporiented environment and developing respectful, lasting relationships and partnerships with Indigenous communities and peoples.
  • Close attention to detail in planning and executing events and projects with concurrent deadlines.
  • Strong written, verbal, and deep listening skills; experience in presenting is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
