Program Overview - New Graduate Associate Underwriter

Calling on all recent Grads Join Northbridge's Award-Winning culture


Grads who join our New Grad Program can learn about the three largest departments within our organization; Underwriting, Claims, and Risk Services, as well as some of the Shared Services who support our operations.


The Northbridge New Underwriting Grad Program is a comprehensive two (2) month educational program that jump-starts your career as an Associate Underwriter in the insurance industry.

What Do Underwriters Do?


Underwriting is an exciting place to start your career within Insurance You will evaluate risks, while working with our Broker partners to create customized solutions for their clients.

You will assist the Underwriting department in a variety of ways, including processing renewals, generating new business, while also working with the Actuarial and Corporate Underwriting teams to ensure that we are always making the right decisions.

Underwriting is both interesting and challenging and there are a variety of career paths that can come from it

You Have:

  • Recent Post-Secondary Education specializing in Insurance
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in Insurance Underwriting
  • The availability to join our New Graduate Program in June 202
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada during the entirety of the Graduate Program
