A delicatessen Counter Team Member is responsible for filling customer deli orders.

Slicing deli meats and cheeses, and making sandwiches are the main job roles as well as routine cleanup and organization of the deli area.

You must be personable and always ready and willing to provide our customers with very positive, memorable shopping experience all while performing your required responsibilities and duties at a high level.

Major Responsibilities

Provide a superior level of customer service with a friendly caring tone
Slicing, weighing and packaging deli meats and cheese at our deli counter for customers
Must have good sandwich making skills, while able to work quickly
Cutting, packaging and pricing cheese
Packaging and pricing bulk items
Handing special request from customers
Stocking display counters
Keep the work, storage and store areas clean at all times
Perform opening and closing procedures
Receiving and restocking merchandise in warehouse and coolers
Ability to work well with others

Qualifications

Must demonstrate excellence in friendly, professional customer service
Possess an ability to work well with others
Good verbal communication skills are required as you will be dealing directly with customers
You have a keen eye and good attention to detail
Previous retail food experience would be a definite asset

Availability

Monday to Friday days, or
Monday to Friday afternoons, evenings, and/or
Saturday and Sunday days

Salary
- $15.50 to $18.00 per hour depending on experience

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 15-30 per week

Salary:
$15.50-$19.00 per hour
