This position assists Customer Service Teams by expediting the scheduling of Psychology Services for workers with appropriate service providers. You will attempt to find appropriate and accessible services in the client's geographical region.

This position works in collaboration with referral sources, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and appropriate services are coordinated to support return to work.

We are seeking an individual who is committed to providing excellent customer service, has strong critical thinking skills, someone who is detailed focused, works independently and enjoys being part of a larger team environment.


Your responsibilities:

  • Coordinate referrals to appropriate service providers of Psychology Services. Special needs must be considered and accommodated (i.e., which practice specializes in particular conditions, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Claim Owners, Psychology Consultants, Psychology Assistants, Health Care Consultants, and external providers to gather information and troubleshoot complex referral requests. (i.e. security alerts, specialized assessments and programs, etc.).
  • Communicate by phone, or in writing with all stakeholders and external service providers. Explain the purpose of services and advise all stakeholders of expectations. Send Authorization Letters to providers.
  • Create and send a complete referral information package to the service provider with all necessary background information and documents.

Your experience and skills:

  • Postsecondary education with preference given to those with formal education in psychology, business/ administration, health care, or customer service. A combination of applicable work experience and education may be considered.
  • Several years of experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Good understanding of medical and psychology terminology and tests being performed is important.
  • Sound judgment in decisions affecting booking processes and the ability to work independently and manage a demanding workload while providing excellent customer service to a diverse clientele is required.
  • Welldeveloped organizational skills are required to set goals, identify processes/procedures, and meet the turnaround times.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, listening, consulting, and negotiating are required to perform required duties.
  • Must be able to cultivate and maintain good working relationships with other departments within the WCB, outsider service providers, and psychologists.

Salary:
$54,904.00 to $60,972.00 per annum (Pay Grade 7)
