JOB OVERVIEW

The Postal Clerk works within a team environment and may be assigned to work in a number of different production areas ranging from operating a delivery vehicle, to walking a delivery route, to sorting, classifying and processing mail items; shipper/receiver duties to operating high speed scanners and digital imaging technology.


Job Requirements:


  • Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and 6 months *related experience; OR
  • Evergreen and one (1) year *related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Related experience includes the following:
  • Experience providing customer service.
  • Experience using operating equipment such as hand and power pallet jacks, electric forklifts, delivery vehicles, mailing machines and electronic scales.
  • Experience using personal computers, multifunctional devices (MFD), handheld scanners and highspeed production scanners.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province).
