Responsibilities:


II. Under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing materials or products in accordance with Engineering drawing(s) and WIKA's Quality Program.


Responsibilities include:


  • Inspect products in accordance with WIKA's quality standards. (e.g. incoming, final, first article inspection)
  • Calibration of products in accordance with national standards
  • Non Destructive Testing (NDT) (e.g. LPI, PMI, Hydrotest, Hardness)
  • Complete necessary quality control documentation (e.g., Routing, LPI, PMI, hydrotest reports)
  • Initiate and/or investigate Nonconformance's, root cause, corrective actions, reporting
  • Work safely, and in compliance with WIKA's safe work practices
  • Work in accordance with WIKA's Quality System (Quality Policy and Quality Procedures) to meet customer requirements and eliminate nonconforming products and services
  • Other duties as may be assigned, from timetotime, by the Quality Assurance Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Strong Mechanical aptitude
  • Understanding of Instrumentation products (e.g. temperature sensors, pressure gauges)
  • Ability to use precision measurement equipment (e.g. Calipers, micrometer, hardness tester)
  • Regular physical exertion, able to lift heavy equipment will be necessary
  • Capable of interpreting engineering drawings and other technical documents
  • LPI Level II is preferred
  • XRF Operator Level I is preferred
  • Experience with calibration of temperature products is preferred
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong Computer skills (Microsoft Office
  • Excel, Word, Outlook, AX)
