The Opportunity

We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role is perfect for a technical powerhouse who bridges the gap between modern cloud application development and deep-tier data engineering. You will be instrumental in migrating legacy systems to Azure, optimizing complex SQL environments, and building scalable, event-driven architectures.

Beyond traditional coding, you will act as a champion for AI-augmented development, leveraging GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery and maintain high engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Modernization: Design and manage cloud-native solutions using Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes (K8s). Lead migrations from on-premises environments to Azure.

Full-Stack Development: Build robust backend services using C# and .NET Core, while crafting responsive frontends in modern frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue).

Data Excellence: Serve as a subject matter expert for Microsoft SQL Server (2012–2022). Perform deep-dive performance tuning, execution plan analysis, and manage complex migrations.

DevOps & CI/CD: Architect and maintain automated pipelines within Azure DevOps to ensure seamless, secure deployments.

Architectural Leadership: Apply Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and patterns like CQRS and Event Sourcing to build resilient enterprise systems.

AI Integration: Use GitHub Copilot to refactor code, generate tests, and optimize development workflows.

Technical Requirements

1. Backend & Cloud Infrastructure

Languages: Expert-level C#, ASP.NET Core, and VB.NET.

Legacy Support: Experience with WCF and WPF for desktop and legacy service maintenance.

Containers: Strong knowledge of Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes.

Azure Ecosystem: Hands-on experience with App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, and monitoring tools.

1. Data & SQL Server (Critical Focus)

T-SQL Mastery: Advanced stored procedures, error handling, and concurrency control.

Optimization: Expertise in index design, statistics management, and mitigating parameter sniffing.

Migrations: Proven track record of upgrading SQL Server 2012/2016 to 2022, including deprecated feature remediation and performance regression testing.

NoSQL: Familiarity with MongoDB or similar databases is a plus.

1. Frontend & Integration

Web: Strong JavaScript skills and experience with at least one modern framework (Angular/React/Vue).

APIs: Deep understanding of RESTful API design and data integration patterns.

Patterns: Practical knowledge of Pub/Sub, CQRS, and Event-Driven Architecture.

Engineering Standards & Mindset

Practices: Commitment to TDD, BDD, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

Source Control: Proficiency in Git and ALM tools (Azure DevOps/TFS).

Security: Firm grasp of encryption, roles, permissions, and secure data access patterns.

Domain Knowledge: Experience in Financial Services or Insurance is highly desirable.

SQL Server & Data Platform (Key Focus)

Strong proficiency in TSQL, including:

o Complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and views

o Error handling, transactions, and concurrency control

Query performance tuning and optimization, including:

o Execution plan analysis

o Index design and maintenance

o Statistics management and parameter sniffing mitigation

Experience with SQL Server migration and upgrade projects, preferably from SQL

Server 2012/2016 to SQL Server 2022, including:

o Compatibility level changes

o Deprecated feature analysis and remediation

o Performance regression analysis

Knowledge of Linked Servers, distributed queries, and cross-database integrations.

Familiarity with security best practices:

o Roles, permissions, encryption, and secure data access patterns.

Software Engineering Practices

Strong experience in object-oriented programming and SOLID principles.

Experience with unit testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

practices.

Ability to apply clean architecture and maintainable design principles.

Integration & Architecture

Understanding of integration strategies involving enterprise systems, including:
