UPLANDS ELEMENTARY is hiring

We are seeking applications, to join our team under temporary contract as a Div II Classroom Teacher.

We serve approximately 450 students, ranging from kindergarten to grade 6 and Our educators are dedicated to every student's success and offer many learning and extra-curricular programs to our students including: sports, arts and coding clubs and this will provide the successful candidate with opportunities to contribute to the development of these unique skills

Job Duties:

identify students' individual and collective learning needs;

plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs;

provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop to their potential;

help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills;

meet with parents;

evaluate and communicate student progress;

prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help;

meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress;

volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities; and

attend meetings, seminars and in-service training sessions.

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor of Education

Valid Alberta Teaching Certification

Original document reported within the last 6 months of hire date; condition of employment
