**Preschool Maternity Leave Position

As an Educator at Coppens Academy, we look for committed individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of young children and their families, while effectively and efficiently running the classroom.

Some of the exciting things that you will do as a Educator include, but are not limited to:

  • Making a difference every day
  • Being accountable for the daily routines and curriculum expectations of the classroom, ensuring that the classroom is operating in accordance with Coppens Academy and provincial licensing standards.
  • Being responsible for ensuring an educational, caring and safe environment for the children and parents.
  • Sparking imagination, build selfesteem and help children discover new things each day.
  • Promoting the positive image of the company and play a major role in making the company a provider of choice in educational programming for the communities that we service.
  • Working alongside and reporting to the Centre Supervisor
  • Create and oversee the themebased weekly curriculum including Math, Science, Language, and Art Lessons
  • Help maintain attendance, children records, and follow established budgets.

Qualifications:

In order to be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements, including:

  • ECE post-secondary education, child development, or a related field plus 2 years of teaching experience in childcare setting.
  • Must have valid CPIC and First Aid/CPR
  • A desire to positively impact the lives of children and families.
  • The ability to demonstrate an understanding of all current provincial policies and regulations.
  • Possess critical thinking and problemsolving skill
  • Experience creating educational lesson plans.

Additional Requirements:
Valid CPR & First Aid, Up-to-date immunizations
