$16 hourly Positions Available: 1 Type: Full-Time/Part-

Time Minimum Education:
High School Diploma

Produce Clerk (Vancouver, British Columbia)

Job description

  • Purchase organic produce for resale by retail
  • Put out produce, rotate and cull
  • Assist with product selection and purchasing strategy,
  • Create and manage local partnership with organic farmers in the greater Vancouver area,
- . Design, build displays and curate a unique and exciting organic produce department,

  • Timely and accurate forecasting inventory needs and order placement,
  • Reconcile invoices with receiving, purchase orders, billing, etc
  • Help achieve targets within each category
  • Work closely with other buyers to ensure weekly offering complements additional grocery offering
  • Maintain organic certification documentation files to include both suppliers and handlers
Job requirements

  • Excellent language skills in English
  • Purchasing experience is required; knowledge of produce is highly advantageous (12 years)
  • Hardworking, able to work flexible hours
  • 12 years of retail experience
  • Completed secondary education
  • Posses a pleasant personality
  • People oriented, with good interpersonal and negotiation skills
A quick leaner with a strong desire for continuous improvement


Salary:
$16.00-$17.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
