***: The ERP Administrator is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Business Intelligence (BI) systems to ensure optimum level of data accuracy, security, stability, and performance. Key areas of responsibility include the end-user support, master data management, testing and installation of software updates, resolving technical issues, and monitoring performance. Also develops and documents standard operating procedures related to the ERP administrative processes. Systematically monitors for problems, seeks out opportunities, and is proactive in assessing and making recommendations for improvement. Responsible for the implementation of the ERP related technologies to support IT and business objectives.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Ensure master data quality by enforcing standard procedures for new master data record requests using standard templates for items, customers, vendors, etc., confirming the data is obtained from authorized business sources and obtaining appropriate management approvals
  • Initiate master data standardization, cleansing and deduplication projects to support continuous improvement and in preparation for future ERP upgrade/implementation projects
  • Maintain the system security through the management of user profiles and permissions
  • Manage integration between the ERP and BI as well as any other integrated systems such as Jet Reports, etc.
  • Provide first level support for the ERP core modules including, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Distribution, Quality Control, Sales & Marketing, Reporting and any additional modules in use by the organization
  • Maintain ERP job scheduler and resolve job alert notifications
  • Design and develop reports for the business using the appropriate platform, including Power BI, Jet Reports and SQL Query Writer
  • Works with internal stakeholders and internal/external ERP development teams to coordinate system updates the installation of upgrades and patches
  • Play a key role in the project to replace or upgrade current ERPs onto one system
  • Provide backfill for EDI Support Specialist
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures including cyber security, regulatory compliance, change control, and disaster recovery.
  • Ensures all system configurations and operating procedures are fully documented and properly maintained.
  • Interacts with external vendors and service providers to ensure the timely delivery of products, services, and contracts.

EDUCATION & PREREQUISITES:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems, or equivalent experience
  • 35 years experience administering an ERP system, preferably Microsoft Navision Dynamics
  • Experience working for a food processor or similar manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SQL Server databases
  • Skilled in report development using SQL Query, Excel Pivot Tables, Power BI
  • Knowledge of food regulatory, safety and HACCP requirements is an asset
