Tasks:
- Conduct medical research
- Assess patients' diseases or disorders to determine appropriate surgical procedures
- Prepare research papers for publication and presentation
- Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
- Supervise laboratory activities
- Act as consultants to other physicians
- Diagnose and treat diseases and physiological or psychiatric disorders
- Order laboratory tests, Xrays and other diagnostic procedures
- Prescribe medication and treatment and refer patients for surgery
- Oversee the preparation of reports
- Oversee the analysis of data and information
- Establish procedures and implement policies
- Consult with boards of directors, senior managers and government officials
- Coordinate work of doctors, nurses and other staff
- Assign, coordinate and review projects and programs
- Develop evaluation systems to monitor health care services
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
Supervision:
- More than 20 people
