Additional Information about the Position:


  • This is a unionized position;
  • 40hour/week schedule, from Sunday to Saturday;
  • Day, evening, and night shifts, rotating every 2 weeks;
  • Evening premium at $10.25/hour;
  • Night premium at $20.50/hour;
  • Weekend premium at $103.73/hour.

Responsibilities:


  • Plan and coordinate the loading and unloading operations of containers from trains, ships, and trucks at our two terminals;
  • Maintain and/or increase productivity goals by efficiently using our human and material resources as well as our warehousing environment;
  • Propose qualitative and productivity improvement areas;
  • Make recommendations to improve customer service.

Requirements and Skills:


  • University and/or college degree in operations management, transportation logistics, or any other relevant field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of operational experience preferably in logistics, transportation, or shipping;
  • Experience in managing unionized personnel;
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions with a high degree of responsibility;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Positive attitude, highly developed leadership;
  • Ability to work outdoors to supervise work;
  • Proficiency in standard computer tools;
  • Oral and written bilingualism (French and English) adapted to the function.
