BASIC FUNCTION:

The Warehouse 1 associate is responsible for unboxing, assembly, inspection and minor product adjustments. This associate will receive ship and store products at times. Assist merchandisers on the showroom floor with moving of furniture, lifting and hanging art as necessary.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working weekends and evenings will be required
• Prepare and unbox the product to La-ZBoy specifications
• Wrapping fragile merchandise from the showroom for customers
• Assist in the loading and unloading of furniture and accessories on and off trucks which includes operating power equipment on occasion
• Occasionally move up to 350 pounds on a twowheel dolly
• Review product against paperwork to check for order completeness and accuracy
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse
• Receive all incoming products by opening and reviewing contents for quantity and condition
• Understand internal control procedures for the process of receiving product against purchase orders and packing slips and actions to reconcile
• Ensure that all product to be sent back to vendor is properly packaged and all corresponding paperwork is attached
• Comply with all safety regulations established by the company
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Any combination of training and experience, which is equivalent to graduation from high school
• Any experience in delivery, warehousing, receiving, issuing, packing, shipping and/or storage of goods preferred but not required
• An understanding of the proper methods and procedures used in safe receiving, storing, requisitions, shipping and delivery. Basic knowledge of inventory procedures
• Selfmanagement to demonstrate selfcontrol and the ability to manage time and priorities
• Must be able and willing to work collaboratively and effectively with the team
• Goal orientation: energetically focuses efforts on meeting a goal, mission or objective
