University Health Network (UHN) is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of Clinical Manager for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Inpatient & Outpatient Oncology Department

As Clinical Manager, your sound judgment and strong leadership abilities will enable you to lead and develop a department and program focused on delivering quality patient care.

Oversee day-to-day operations including education, quality management, staff utilization, financial and human resource management, resolving patient care issues, problems and concerns.

You will develop and motivate a cohesive team and will identify and support educational strategies to enhance staff knowledge with respect to professional practices and patient care.

You will need to build and continue to maintain dynamic relationships with external organizations.


Qualifications:

  • Licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or other Ontario regulated healthcare profession, you have a Master's in a health related field.
  • You have at least five (5) years relevant experience in oncology care, clinical and/or specialty field, including three (3) to five (5) years supervisory/management expertise
  • Experience with oncology patient population specifically in an inpatient or outpatient treatment environment, would be a valuable asset
  • Personcentred approach to leadership and able to excel in a diverse, unionized and nonunionized work environment to support and develop staff.
  • Data driven approach to understanding and improving practice and care delivery.
  • Your organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills will be a prominent part of your success in recognizing, analyzing and resolving problems before and as they arise
  • Your proven ability to work effectively and with composure under pressure/or stressful conditions and to meet multiple and competing deadlines will be critical in this position
  • Vaccines (COVID and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
