Project Manager (Full Time)


As part of the transformation currently underway in Ontario's healthcare system, organizations and community members in Kitchener-Waterloo, Wellesley, Woolwich and Wilmot (KW4) have come together to form a Ministry of Health approved Ontario Health Team (KW4 OHT).

Through partnerships, collaboration, innovation, empathy, courage, inclusiveness and trust, KW4 OHT will deliver on our vision of a community where everyone thrives and no one is left behind.

To help move this work forward, the KW4 OHT is seeking a Project Manager.


Reporting to the Director, Project Management and Support Services, the Project Manager will use project management methodologies, techniques, technologies, knowledge and competencies to manage projects through all phases of the project lifecycle including initiation, planning, monitor and controlling, execution and closing.

This position will provide project management leadership for various projects related to optimizing the health and wellness of the residents of the KW4 OHT attributed population.


Salary Range:

$80,000-90,000 plus benefits


Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development of key project artifacts and deliverables such as a project charter, scope of work, project schedule and work breakdown structure, cost estimates, resource plans, communications plans, and risk management plans
  • Monitor schedules, costs, scope and quality and provide regular status updates
  • Plan and coordinate work, understand and effectively manage resources, prioritize steps to be taken, anticipate potential issues/barriers and develop contingency plans to address these, and execute individual and team activities in a way that ensures the achievement of a set of objectives
  • Identify, engage and maintain relationships with system partners (organizations, patients/residents, families, caregivers) relevant to the scope of the project
  • Lead teams through improvement initiatives using a rapid cycle learning approach and PDSA methodology
  • Conduct project evaluations and document lessons learned throughout the project
  • Ensure transition planning is part of the project scope to ensure sustainability of changes after the project closes
  • Provide leadership to the project team regarding project management methodology and best practices
  • Maintain project documentation repositories

Qualifications:


  • University degree in business or a health related field or equivalent work experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or formal project management training preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years project management experience preferably in the area of health and community services
  • Extensive experience in working in a teamoriented, collaborative and diverse environment including.
  • Proven effectiveness in engaging with patients, families and caregivers along with a variety of community agencies to codesign effective solutions.
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent relationship building, diplomacy, conflict management, problem solving and change management skills
  • Ability to quickly and effectively establish rapport with project team members and stakeholders
  • Ability to function effectively during periods of rapid change, transition, and ambiguity
  • High level of initiative, decisiveness and business acumen
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple projects and meet competing deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Visio
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in multiple languages is an asset.

Salary:
$80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
