OWNER/OPERATOR - Antigonish, NS

SCHEDULE:
As assigned

OVERALL PURPOSE:

To participate in the safe, accurate and timely processing of deliveries to meet LOOMIS EXPRESS on-time performance standards.

Revenue/Pay:
The posted route revenue (pay) is estimated based on the average number of deliveries/pieces and other billable items.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must have or be willing to obtain vehicle that meets Company requirements
Delivery and Pick-Up of Freight/Packages
Make all reasonable efforts to meet established delivery times
Perform safety checks on truck before each use
Ensure proper maintenance of truck
Operate truck/van as required
Scanner usage
Customer service
Be able to lift heavy packages/freight as required
Other duties as assigned and as detailed within the CBA & business agreement

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

High School education
Valid provincial driver's license
Must have a clean driver's abstract
Must own or be willing to obtain own 16FT cube vehicle
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks (getting in and out of truck/van, lifting/delivering packages/freight by hand and/or with use of hand cart
Flexible to work routes assigned
