  • We're seeking a motivated and energetic proven Information Technology Security professional to join our progressive Information Technology team.
    Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, you will be responsible for the strategic direction for the IT Security program, provide oversight to the City's IT security team, and liaise with the IT team, provide guidance to City departments to enhance the City's security posture. You will develop the City's risk management framework, develop IT security standards and procedures, oversee the cyber security awareness training program, and are responsible for the development of the information technology security architecture, and ensuring adequate controls are implemented.

Requirements:


  • You have the knowledge and ability to manage schedule and scope to deliver the objectives of your project plans and budgets successfully. A key component of this role is relationship management. As such, you possess strong leadership and facilitation skills to lead project teams through IT security initiatives.
  • You have a degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline, and several years of experience in delivery of cyber security services. Business professional designations related to cyber security (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, CISM) are preferred. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will ensure your success. Knowledge of IT Risk Management Frameworks (NIST, ISO, COBIT), and certifications for project management (PMP), and service management (ITIL) would be assets.
