Tigercat Industries requires CNC Machine Operators with experience operating CNC lathes and boring mills, to machine parts for industrial forestry and off road equipment, at one of our Cambridge, ON locations.

Day Shift - 5x8 hour shifts - Monday - Friday


Job Description:


  • Setup and operate CNC lathes and boring mills
  • Machine individual weldments drilling and tapping holes and milling on parts
  • Load part onto machine table using overhead crane, choosing appropriate lifting tackle
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
  • Calculate dimensions or tolerances using instruments such as micrometers or Vernier calipers
  • Machine parts to specifications
  • Measure, examine or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as micrometers
  • Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition
  • Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings or engineering information to determine methods of sequence of operations needed to fabricate products
  • Check work pieces to ensure they are properly lubricated or cooled
  • Clean machined parts to ensure ready for assembly using hand tools and grinders
Skills & Experience

  • Experience setting up and operating CNC machining systems and heat treat equipment
  • Knowledge of Heidenhain and Mazatrol systems is an asset
  • Ability to run Mastercam and Solidworks is preferred
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Good working knowledge of tools, blueprints, and drawings
  • Ability to complete own setup and programming
  • Physically able to perform task demands
  • Good level of manual dexterity and hand / eye coordination
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively and efficiently
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality standards
  • Positive attitude through effective and friendly communication
