Responsibilities:

Marketing Intern roles, including but not limited to, those described below:

Field Integrated Marketing
Drives Microsoft's business objectives through integrated marketing campaigns aligned to globally defined priorities, strategies, and programs.

Develops local marketing plans that drive customer demand based on global program availability, functional expertise, and local market knowledge and insights.

Ensures marketing plan execution upholds global strategic guidance, regulatory and compliance standards and Microsoft Accessibility and Privacy principles.


Responsibilities:


  • Assists in the creation of integrated marketing plans aligned to targeted business outcomes for a limited range of business areas.
  • Contributes to the delivery of the marketing plan. Contributes to reports and analysis of customer metrics. Assists with the creation of reports and analyses of customer metrics to identify opportunities to improve customer engagement by collaborating with engine owners.
  • Reads and interprets marketing performance and marketing spend reports, using analytical knowledge to extract insights from data. Interprets business implications of results and reports findings to stakeholders.
  • Assists with orchestrating and completing work needed across local stakeholders for Rhythm of Connection (RoC) meetings.

Field Product Marketing
For a given product or solution area, activates and drives area leadership and stakeholders to foster short
- and long-range growth and claim market share. Delivers impact as a product spokesperson/evangelist, leveraging product knowledge and technical expertise to position the value proposition and tailor messaging to a variety of key internal and external audiences.


Responsibilities:


  • Acts as a product advocate and spokesperson for the respective product(s) within the Product Managerowned portfolio. Develops product, market, and/or industry knowledge, as well as required technical expertise to support the team in positioning the value proposition.
  • Develops an understanding of business opportunities and strategy, and builds knowledge of the customer/partner ecosystem. Owns the development of plans for a project/initiative, and measures the efficacy of plans. Supports accountability for scorecard metrics for a product/service.
  • Supports strategic plans for owned initiatives/projects and gotomarket (GTM) strategy development and execution.
  • Supports the team in ensuring the channel and sellers are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources to sell.

Partner Marketing
Plans and oversees partner-centered learning across solutions/lines of business. Creates and drives solutions strategies/content roadmaps (e.g., product, enablement, recruit, incentives/investments) with long-term partner leads and internal/external stakeholders. Partners with internal teams to guide data driven plans including growth targets, partner capacity, capability, and projections.


Responsibilities:


  • Synthesizes and consolidates information gathered from research in order to inform partner strategy and gain competitive insights, in line with established standards and policies.
  • Executes strategies to ensure market readiness for new solution/offering launch with managerial guidance.
  • With assistance, manages allocated marketing funds and budget spend in collaboration with agencies and partners to help ensure allocated budget is properly spent, while considering mutual business objectives and goals with partners.
  • Conducts analyses to measure success metrics of products/projects (e.g., return on investment [ROI], return on spend).
  • Supports demand generation to build partner cosell pipeline through solution area sales plays execution and with partnertopartner (P2P) interactions.
