    Position Overview:

    The Worship and Rec Ministry Leader, in collaboration with the Lead Pastor and staff, plays an integral role in providing complete oversight to the Worship and Recreation Ministries at Cobourg Alliance Church.

    They lead a dedicated team of volunteers in creating meaningful and engaging opportunities and environments that help people connect with God.

    The primary focus of this role is to cast vision, lead, recruit, motivate, empower, and train the adult and student leaders who will provide a large portion of the hands-on ministry for both the worship team and recreation ministries.

    The WT Leader oversees the Sunday service Worship, Sound, Tech, and Livestream teams at CAC.

    The WT Leader is not required to lead worship each Sunday;
    Program Development and Implementation:

    • Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of all aspects of worship ministry, including practices, Sunday services, and any unique worship services outside of the regular weekly rhythm.
    • Manage scheduling through PCO for Worship, Sound, Tech, and Livestream teams.

    Provide ongoing training, support, and mentorship to volunteers, equipping them with the necessary skills and resources needed to serve effectively in their roles.

    Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team on additional responsibilities and projects as required to support the overall goals of the ministry.

    Recreation Ministry (25%):


    Collaborate with other ministry leaders to establish a unified approach to CAC's Recreation ministry that aligns with the overall vision of the church.


    Program Development and Implementation:

    • Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of Rec Ministry events at CAC.
    • Currently the Rec Ministry runs a Summer and Winter Volleyball League and a Ping-Pong, Billiards, and Rummikub night.
    • Integrate recreation aspects into regular CAC gatherings, such as Church in the Park.

    Provide ongoing training, support, and mentorship to volunteers, equipping them with the necessary skills and resources needed to serve effectively in their roles.

    Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team on additional responsibilities and projects as required to support the overall goals of the ministry.

    Additional Administrative Responsibilities (25%):


    • Oversee the onboarding process for new volunteers, ensuring compliance with Plan to Protect policies and procedures, including ongoing training and documentation maintenance. Additionally, provide support for administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
