    Position Summary:

    Under the general direction of the Manager, Compensation, the Analyst, Total Rewards (Compensation) provides analytical and coordination support of the non-union and union compensation structures in accordance with applicable policies, legislation, and collective agreements contributing to the overall Total Rewards mandate to attract, motivate, and retain talent.

    The Analyst ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

    Key Accountabilities:

  • Provides analytical support related to internal equity, external market competitiveness, budgeting, annual compensation cycles, collective bargaining /agreements, and other ad-hoc requirements.
  • Partners with HR Business partners, HR System Support, Enterprise Resources Planning teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that our programs and workforce/compensation structures are competitive, equitable, and understood.
  • Supports job architecture/evaluation by maintaining market pricing database and leading all aspects of the survey submission process including understanding survey methodology, job matching, data gathering, data validation, benchmarking, and preparation of data submission files.
  • Prepares and presents summary reports of analysis.
  • Maintains pay structures in the Human Capital Management System (HCMS), Oracle which includes data entry, audits, data validation, maintenance of team member records.
  • Maintains workforce structures in the HCMS including creating new jobs and positions and implementing changes.
  • Educational and Functional Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, finance, or human resources
  • Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in human resources, payroll, and/or total rewards
  • Minimum one-year analytical experience
  • Minimum one year of experience in a unionized or hourly wage environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Enrolment in or completion of a human resources or compensation certification program an asset
  • Requires analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience navigating an HRIS / HCMS considered an asset
  • Experience working with Market Pay / PayScale considered an asset
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences
