- This position is accountable for safe and efficient project work
- Manage project deliverables and working relationships with Woodlands' peers, management and clients
- Initiate, develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives and best practices
- Assist the Operation Manager with the scheduling and management of projects
- Experience with construction environmental oversight or supervision of road building, right-of-way and well site development, clearing and harvesting operations, culvert and bridge installations
- Experience in roadway watercourse crossing assessments and restorations
- Knowledge of timber, vegetation, wetlands, watercourses, wildlife and soils data collection
- Knowledgeable in current restoration best management practices for terrestrial habitat restoration of linear features such as legacy roads and seismic for caribou habitat restoration
- University Degree or technical diploma is required in Environmental, Earth Science, Forestry, Biology or Engineering
- Forestry University Degree or technical diploma is seen as an asset
- Professional registration or eligibility in one of Alberta's Professional Regulatory Organizations
- Minimum experience of 5 years
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Ability to maintain a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract
- Ability to move a variety of initiatives forward at the same time
- Ability to demonstrate a safety and customer service focus
