Description
You have completed a BS in Mechanical Engineering. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields.You have worked in an engineering role for at least 8 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.
Design, analysis and qualification of Structures, Systems and Components.Experience in system engineering and design review processes.
Familiarity with CSA S16, CSA N289, National Building Code of Canada, ASME B30.Familiarity with engineering software tools, such as ANSYS, AutoPIPE, AutoCAD, Solid Works, MicroShield.
Ability to prepare and/or provide critical peer review of various engineering calculations and reports.Experience in CANDU or alternative nuclear technology is a mandatory requirement.
Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd
Detailed oriented, having the ability to professionally debate, reason and to demonstrate technical capability in relations to colleagues, supervisors and customer.
Ability of work well with senior engineers and other disciplines.Ability and willingness to self-reflect and course correct during various design stages preparation, to overcome barriers and meet project quality and deadlines.
Ability to execute work to high safety and quality requirements.As aPrincipal Mechanical Engineer in Kincardine, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit.
Performs standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.
Complete field visits to support engineering work development.Complete engineering deliverables to support plant lifetime operations including design, construction, testing, commissioning, plant operations, and maintenance
