What will you do?
In this position, our Chef will be responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare meals and snacks on the menu from start to finish
  • Following the set nutritional menu to ensure items are prepared to meet the nutrition guidelines
  • Meeting allergy and dietary requirements and accommodation
  • Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment.
  • Order groceries and supplies
  • Maintaining a clean kitchen and understand current disinfecting practices
  • Know and practice proper hand washing procedures
  • Follow all safety protocols

You will posses the following:


  • Able to work independently in a kitchen setting
  • Strong advocate of nutrition
  • Demonstrate sounded knowledge of proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to prepare and cook large volume for up to 150 children on a daily basis
  • Ability to handle food allergies and food substitution
  • Ability to wash, peel, cut, slice of ingredients
  • Ability to sweep and mop areas
  • Team player, organized, flexible
Required Qualifications to Work at Kepler Academy

  • Current criminal record check, including vulnerable sector search
  • 1 Years + commercial cooking experience in a high volume kitchen environment
  • Food Safety Certificate is required
  • First Aid Certificate preferred
