THE OPPORTUNITY - Recycling Service Worker (Hourly)

Reporting to the Manager, this position is responsible to sort and count recycled beverage containers; preparing them for shipping and providing cash refunds to customers at the Bottle Depot.

This position provides customer service and is required to follow safe work practices consistent with the Mission, Vision, Values, and Guiding Principles.

Hours of work are dependent on the Bottle Depot operational needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Counting, sorting, and stacking recyclable beverage containers
Responding to customer inquiries and requests at the counter
Working with a Point of Sale cash register
Assisting with warehouse duties and commercial pickup services
Daily cleanup routines
Follow safe work place practices, and report all unsafe work conditions to the supervisor or Manager.

Experience in a warehouse or production line is an asset
Strong skills required in verbal communication
Basic math skills

Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm
Maintain confidentiality at all times
Demonstrate a high level of administrative and IT capacity
