As the Head Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our patrons.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision: Lead, train, and supervise the server team, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
Schedule and assign tasks to servers, ensuring appropriate coverage during shifts.
Provide guidance and support to servers, ensuring they are knowledgeable about menu items, daily specials, and beverage options.
Customer Service:Create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for guests, greeting them upon arrival and ensuring their needs are met throughout their dining experience.
Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner, striving to exceed their expectations.
Anticipate guest needs and provide recommendations on menu selections and beverage pairings.
Order Management:Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring special requests or dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen and bar staff.
Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of food orders.
Oversee the delivery of beverages, ensuring quality and presentation meet the highest standards.
Up-selling and Revenue Generation:Promote and up-sell menu items, daily specials, and premium beverages to enhance the overall dining experience and maximize revenue.
Maintain a strong knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information, to assist guests with their selections.
Table Maintenance and Organization:Ensure cleanliness and proper set-up of tables, including cutlery, glassware, and table linens.
Monitor table turnover, assisting in resetting tables promptly to accommodate new guests.
Collaborate with the host/hostess to manage table seating and reservations efficiently.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a server, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
- Exceptional knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wine pairings and mixology.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Job Type: Full-time
