The role:
The
Junior Finance Analyst, Revenue Management role is responsible for the management and administration of all pricing requirements for liquor jurisdictions across Eastern Canada for the Canadian business unit of the Mark Anthony Group.
This position requires the individual to be fully knowledgeable in Liquor Control Board pricing structures for all markets and categories and for pricing processes, externally and internally.
The incumbent will be a critical partner and enabler for the sales and marketing teams and will also interface directly with our external customers (provincial liquor boards).
What you'll do:
- Responsible for conducting price management reviews to monitor competitive activity and track risk and opportunity.
- Responsible for Budget & Quarterly rate loads into Financial reporting tool (TM1)
- Prepare post evaluation of both promotional and permanent price changes
- Preparation of price quotations and analysis for theoretical, existing, and new products to support innovation processes and sales and marketing requirements.
- Providing breakeven analysis on alternative pricing/LTO strategies and make recommendations that support the goals of the business.
- Prepare pricing and margin reports for use by various stakeholders in sales and marketing.
- Build price management and educational tools aimed at maximizing company revenue and business capabilities.
- Ensure that margin impact of various price changes is understood by key stakeholders across the business.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements, particularly by partnering with IT to automate manual business processes.
- Developing an understanding of liquor board pricing structure changes and ensuring the Pricing System calculators align to the liquor board calculators
- Provide support and act as a backup for the Sales/Partner Brands Coordinator
- Preparation of adhoc analysis as required
What you'll bring:
- Completed Bachelor's Degree in Business or related
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role in the alcohol beverage industry or CPG
- A detailoriented, organized, and analytical team player who is eager to learn
- Extensive knowledge of financial spreadsheets/excel and financial information systems
- Proven ability to make process improvements to create efficiencies
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Enrolment in a recognized professional accounting program would be considered an asset
