As the Manager, Business Planning & Portfolio Management, you will support the Day to Day (D2D) Banking portfolio and support business strategies, plans and initiatives for the Retail Deposits & Investment team.

You will contribute to the overall success of Retail Banking in Canada, ensuring specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

You will also ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Play a central role in portfolio performance management which includes dynamic forecasting, evaluating monthly business results, portfolio re-pricing and reviewing quarterly performance of the D2D portfolio
  • Serve as a key partner to the D2D product team by providing actionable insights for campaign analysis, revenue sizing of new initiatives and impact of potential pricing changes
  • Monitor, assess, and evaluate portfolio trends and provide an ongoing insight on KPIs which are important for D2D Deposits to achieve its annual portfolio growth targets
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions
  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective area in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
  • Champion a highperformance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary education in commerce, business, economics, finance or analytics
  • Experience working in the Financial Services industry, with a good understanding of Retail Deposit products, services and processes
  • Strong analytical skills, with working experience using SAS/SQL and other analytical tools
  • Experience in product P&L management, finance and/or business analytics
  • The ability to effectively communicate with team members and crossfunctional partners
