Oakcreek Golf & Turf LP is a leading Western Canadian OEM distributor of commercial turf maintenance and other equipment including Toro Turf Equipment, Yamaha Golf Cars and Pisten Bully Snowcats.


Our business seeks the addition of a Service Technician - Outdoor Power Equipment or Heavy Equipment (Journeyperson preferred, but may consider 2nd-year Apprentice or higher) for our Surrey, British Columbia location.

Reporting to the Surrey Service Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Inspecting all product lines, including Toro, Yamaha, Pisten Bully, etc., to detect faults and malfunctions;
  • Perform routine maintenance on all Oakcreek product lines, including, but not limited to oil and fluid changes, lubrications and other routine maintenance on equipment;
  • Installation of various Oakcreek product line accessories, including, but not limited to canopies, decks, tillers, winches, blades, etc.;
  • Perform diagnostics and determine extent of repair required on defective products due to fault or malfunction;
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools;
  • Service attachments and working tools;
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications;
  • Travel to customer locations as directed from time to time by your manager and/or foreman to perform onsite any of the duties outlined above.
  • Minimum Automotive, Outdoor Power Equipment or Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman preferred;
  • Minimum two to five years of related work experience;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines;
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize issues;
  • Excellent verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to be selfmotivated and work independently as well as with a team;
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels and departments;
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and achieve results;
  • You will be required to provide your own tools in a tool box that is able to be lifted into a service vehicle via forklift. Some job specific and specialty tools are provided as "shop tools" to complete certain jobs;
  • A valid and clean class 5 driver's abstract is required as this position will utilize a company vehicle for service calls based from our shop location.
  • You may be required to travel to the US or abroad for vendorspecific certification. A valid passport and ability to enter the US or abroad is a requirement for this position.
