We're looking for a Finance Manager to join our growing team in downtown Toronto (option for remote/hybrid).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage daytoday full cycle accounting functions and operational processes including financial reporting, monthend and yearend close, reconciliations, general ledger, A/R, A/P, payroll, expenses, complex journal entries, annual audit etc.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, processes, and internal controls.
  • Prepare Canadian tax filings and ensure compliance with all requirements including corporate income tax, sales tax, and payroll taxes.
  • Work with our HR team to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
  • Continue to refine business assumptions and inputs to ensure an accurate forecast as the business environment evolves; Collaborate with business partners to define and analyze financial and operational KPIs
  • Provide insights to senior management for improvements that lead to cost reduction, revenue generation, and streamlined operations
  • Identify risks and opportunities across the business based on datadriven insights
  • Monitor, forecast, and coordinate cash management functions to manage corporate capital.
  • Develop and maintain our annual budgets, and provide timely insightful reporting into the variances vs. budget
  • Assist the VP Finance and Operations with special projects as they arise.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Must have a CPA designation.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting/finance processes including monthend close, budgeting/forecasting, and financial statements
  • Experience with Canadian corporate, sales, and payroll tax
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to translate strategic insights and initiatives into a complete and accurate financial forecast
  • Ability to drive concepts quickly and can run with them on mínimal guidance
  • Experience with multiple entities/multiple business lines
  • Detailed oriented, organized, and ability to prioritize while working under pressure.
  • Resourceful: You don't have all the answers, but you know how to get them
  • Quality control: You selfedit and submit only your best work
