Print Production Assistant - Saint John, Canada - Italic Inc.

We have a wide variety of clients who rely on our production team to output quality work and unique products.

The variety of services we offer requires employees to continuously learn new skills while honing their existing ones.

This is especially important for the production assistant as they will be working in all departments and will need to be able to adapt quickly.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Bindery/Finishing duties

• Operating guillotine paper cutter and ensuring cutting accuracy
• Operating various small format lamination equipment
• Operating various small format bindery equipment (drills, wireo binding, round cornering, dtapers, foil stamper, etc.)
• Small format hand work and product assembly

Large Format Printing/Finishing duties

• Operating roll/flatbed inkjet printers
• Operating large format digital diecutting machine
• Large format trimming, laminating, and mounting

Shipping and Packaging duties

• Collating, sorting, and counting of products
• Packaging products for shipment

General

• Attention to detail with a high quality mindset
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Uphold safe working standards at all times

Other duties as required in prepress and customer service departments


SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Previous experience in digital printing and bindery
• Knowledge of printing and bindery processes
• Experience in use of Adobe Creative Suite software
• Competent in the use of MS Office software (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines

• Must be able to maintain flexible work hours and be available for overtime as needed

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift materials up to 50lbs
• Must be able to work on your feet for majority of work day
• Working in a loud and busy manufacturing environment

Salary:
$15.75-$18.75 per hour
