The Health Employers Association of British Columbia (HEABC) takes a provincial leadership role in human resources and labour relations issues management for more than 230 publicly funded health care employers.

HEABC is responsible for negotiating six major provincial agreements covering more than 138,000 unionized health care employees covering nurses, health science professionals, ambulance paramedics and ambulance dispatchers, physician residents, and support workers in both facilities and community settings.


OPPORTUNITY:


Responsibilities:


  • Schedules meetings and appointments for the VP and other leaders, ensuring manageable schedules.
  • Ensures that preparation for meetings is complete and that the VP and other leaders are provided with pertinent information prior to meetings.
  • Prepares meeting and items for Board packages and meetings with external stakeholders; attends and records proceedings, prepares and distributes minutes, communicates committee decisions, and initiates and/or completes any required followup.
  • Makes travel arrangements for the VP and other leaders, as required.
  • Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks including: conducting research, completing reports; composing and preparing correspondence that may be complex and/or confidential.
  • Directs the administration of the office of the VP by creating, leading, and maintaining office processes, including records management.

QUALIFICATIONS:


A business administration diploma plus a minimum of five (5) years' recent, related experience in progressively more responsible and complex administrative/executive support positions, including at least one (1) year supporting senior executives or providing project coordination, or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.


  • Excellent communication and organizations skills with advanced computer skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals both internal and external to the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and demonstrate excellent time management skills.
  • Take initiative to resolve problems and follow up on matters of significance under mínimal direction.
  • Exercise considerable judgment, tact, confidentiality and discretion in preparing, disclosing, handling and communicating information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.

Salary Range

Minimum:
$60,427 Midpoint: $75,533 Maximum: $86,863
