- Send and receive all packages and shipments coming to and from the AltaGas RIPET facility.
- Kitting and stagging of parts for upcoming work orders.
- Entering part numbers and new equipment into Maximo and updating Maximo with inventory quantities.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping the warehouse tidy.
- Ordering parts when stock is low or when ad-hoc parts are required.
- Collaborate with Vendor Managed Inventory suppliers on keep-stock lists.
- Operate the JLG Telehandler to load and offload trucks.
- Filing all required paperwork and working with the procurement team when receiving parts
- Oversee, maintain, and audit inventory levels.
- Receive, inspect, tag, document, store, and issue spares and consumables.
- Coordinate and resolve overage, shortage, and discrepancies/damages (OS&D) in spares and consumables received.
- Process packing slips, invoices, and other receiving documents in JD Edwards and Maximo.
- Know and ship products as per TDG requirements.
- Create ship notices, and packing slips for shipments for returns and repairs, as required.
- Coordinate the shipment of outbound spares and consumables.
- Complete cycle count of inventory spares and consumables.
- Collaborate with suppliers via email and phone to refill warehouse inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance team to determine inventory reorder points and critical spares.
- Bin locate and tag material as per AltaGas standards
- Implement all AltaGas warehouse and inventory management processes.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance team to identify and properly dispose of obsolete parts and materials.
- Assist the maintenance team with other tasks as required.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of inventory controls.
- Data entry skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- JLG Telehandler certification is considered a bonus

AltaGas - Warehouse Technician
The Ridley Island Propane Export Terminal (RIPET) is located approximately 10 km south of Prince Rupert, on Ridley Island. The RIPET Facility receives pressurized liquid propane via rail, which is transferred to intermediate pressurized storage bullets. The propane is then chilled and transferred to refrigerated storage at atmospheric pressure. The cooled propane is transferred to Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGC) using the existing RTI coal jetty, for transport to Asia and other markets.
The Warehouse Technician position is part of the International Longshore & Warehouse Union, Local 523B. ILWU Local 523 is located and represented within the Prince Rupert Community.
